ON-IT SCHEDULES

Start planning your dream adventure with On-It. Our Lake Louise & Moraine lake regular service starts Summer 2024 for just under $20! With service from Friday to Sundays + Holiday Mondays, you can sit back, relax, leave the car at home and enjoy the ride. 

Please note we are offering service from Calgary to Lake Louise June 14, 2024 – September 2, 2024. From September 6, 2024 – October 14, 2024 we are offering service from Calgary to Moraine Lake. If you want to learn about shuttle services between Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, click here.

On-It Riders have plenty of choices for exploring the Lakes with our variety of transit options. Check out the options below to assist in planning your trip with ease.

On-It Regional Transit

Direct service from Calgary ←→ Lake Louise / Moraine Lake

Parks Canada Shuttle Service

Lake Louise Park and Ride:
The park and ride is located in the parking lot of the Lake Louise Ski Area and Summer Gondola. Free parking is available for visitors with a reservation on the PC shuttles. Parks Canada shuttles and commercial operators use this as a hub for their services.

Lake Louise Lakeshore and Moraine Lake service:
Both services travel direct to either lake and return to the park and ride. Services depart every 30 mins from between 6.30am and 6pm. The last shuttle is 7.30pm.

Lake Connector service:
This service connects Lake Louise Lakeshore and Moraine Lake and leaves every 30 mins from 7am to 7pm.

Visitors with a Roam “Reservable Super Pass” may access the lakeshore connector. This service is not available to self-drive visitors at Lake Louise Lakeshore.

Park and Ride Connector:
This service is free of charge and connects visitors in the community of Lake Louise, the Lake Louise campground and the Park and Ride. The service runs every 30 mins from 7am to 7.30pm.

Alpine Start:
New this year. The 2 early services depart from Lake Louise Lakeshore at 4 am and 5 am. Reservations do not include paid parking fees for the Lake Louise Lakeshore parking.

ROAM TRANSIT

Roam Transit Route 8X:
Departing year-round, daily from downtown Banff, this express service travels directly to Lake Louise’s lakefront.

Roam Transit Route 10: 
Departing daily in the fall from downtown Banff, this service travels directly Moraine Lake.

How do I use Roam Transit?

On-It Users can travel from Banff to Lake Louise or Moraine lake using Roam transit.

  • Roam Transit Route 8X: Departing year-round, daily from downtown Banff, this express service travels directly to Lake Louise’s lakefront. Purchase a Roam Transit Super Pass to include the shuttle from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake as part of your journey.
  • Roam Transit Route 10: Departing daily in the fall from downtown Banff, this service travels directly Moraine Lake. Purchase a Roam Transit Super Pass to include the shuttle from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake as part of your journey.

 

Do you allow pets?

Only service animals and small dogs are welcome on board. Small dogs must remain in their carrier for the entire journey and must be stowed on the floor or on the passengers’ lap.

What are the service days?

On-It runs on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays. During the summer, we also offer an additional Thursday evening service. 

Do I have to print my ticket?
No. Tickets can be printed or shown to either the driver or customer service agent at the time of travel on a mobile device.
Do you pick up from the airport?
We do not pick up from the airport at this time. The closest stop is our Downtown Location.
Can I bring luggage?

Each passenger may bring 2 pieces of undercarriage luggage (where space permits) as well as one personal item stored in the overhead storage bin.

  • Overhead Storage – one personal item per passenger, such as a laptop bag, purse, or small backpack. Maximum dimensions 16cm x 33 cm x 43 cm.
  • Undercarriage Storage – luggage items cannot exceed 62 inches (L+W+H). Items larger than this will not be accepted on the bus.

On-It does not store luggage for riders.

Can I bring a bike?

Yes, On-It does allow bikes on board for a cost of $2.50 (each way)

Bikes are loaded by the owner at the owner’s risk in the under-bus luggage compartments. Moving blankets are available to wrap bikes.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are sold online and on the bus using debit or credit card. Tickets often sell out, so we suggest purchasing your tickets in advance.
